The Dead Swede is dedicated to having fun on bikes! Sheridan County, Wyoming is home to some of the most beautiful places to ride. There will be four courses this year; The 100 mile Crusher, the 60 Mile Creeper, the 40 mile Cruiser, and the Little Ripper's 20 Mile.
The 100 mile race course will take you from the heart of downtown Sheridan along some gorgeous ranch country and foothills to the Big Horn mountains. Enjoy punchy climbs and ripping decents around the Sheridan Valley, finishing at Kendrick Park.The 60 mile course is for those looking to make a jump from the 40 but not quite ready to bite off the 100 mile course. You will add some miles that take you towards the infamous Red Grade but will turn back, adding a fun "dry-weather" section that will link you back to the 40 milers as they begin their gravel section.
The 40 mile course will also start at Kendrick Park and finish Sheridan and will take you through more rolling ranch country along the base of the Big Horns. Enjoy a controlled start through town followed by a nice paved warm-up to get the legs spinning. Don't think we're not going to throw some hills at you. You'll kick off the first gravel leg with the famous Beckton Hill. We can still be friends though, right?
The Little Ripper's 20 Mile course is focused on getting those brand new riders and youth out on course, having fun with the rest of us. Racers will be shuttled from Sheridan to the start of this course in Dayton, racing along side the last 20 miles of the 40, 60, and 100 mile courses. This course features 20 miles of some of Sheridan County's most scenic gravel roads.
"Race" is a relatively loose term, as we want to encourage riders of all ages and abilities to be able to come enjoy our backyard! However, for the safety of riders, there will be cut-off times for designated aid stations.
After the ride, hang out in the park, stick your legs in the creek and enjoy some ice cream or beer or both. Awards ceremony following the race!
Dead Swede Hundo, LLC Refund and Transfer Policy:
Refunds:
- Prior to March 1st: We will provide a maximum of 50% refund for any Dead Swede Hundo, LLC event if the refund request occurs prior to March 1st.
- After March 1st-May 1st: We will provide a maximum of 25% refund for any Dead Swede Hundo, LLC event if the refund request occurs between March 1st and May 1st.
- NO REFUNDS for any of the Dead Swede Hundo, LLC races, distances, and categories after May 1st.
- We understand that circumstances may arise that prevent you from participating in our race, so by registering, you are taking on a risk.
Transfers: Should you find yourself unable to participate for any circumstance, you may transfer your race entry to someone else.
- All transfer requests must be submitted no later than 7 days prior to the posted race date. There will be a $15 transfer fee for any transfer request.
- You may not transfer to a different race distance if that race distance is already full.
- It is your personal responsibility to find someone to transfer your registration to.
- Transfers will only be applied to the same Dead Swede Hundo, LLC event.
- No registrations will be permitted to “roll-over” to the following year, or be transferred to any other Dead Swede Hundo, LLC affiliated event.
Distance Changes:
- You may change the distance of your race for a fee of $15 plus the difference in registration price if you are moving up in distance.
- You may not transfer to a different race distance if that race distance is already full.
- If you are moving down in distance, we will not refund the difference in price.
- You may not change your race distance any later than 7 days prior to the posted race date. You will receive a DNF (did not finish) if you do not complete the race distance you are registered for.

Event Cancellation Policy
If the race is canceled due to reasons out of our control, we ask that participants accept the financial risk of their entry fee. Please understand that YOU WILL NOT be refunded any portion of your entry fee if the race is cancelled for reasons out of our control after May 1st. Please understand that fees collected upon registration are used to directly pay for the supplies and services associated with the event such as: insurance, vendors, merchandise, aid station supplies, administrative expenses, permits, and other related expenses.
